Are These the Best Marvel Sneakers?

With Brand New Day swinging into cinemas, we thought we’d get in on the action with a list of some of the best Marvel-inspired sneakers.

Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG 'Spider-Man Origin Story’ (2018)

This pair dropped in 2018 to celebrate the release of Into the Spider-Verse, taking the classic Chicagos worn by Miles Morales and adding a unique comic book spin. The red overlays are covered in Ben-Day dots rendered in reflective 3M, making it a truly standout pair.

ASICS x Marvel X-Men x Kith Gel-Lyte III '07 Remastered (2023)

Ronnie Fieg and his Kith label aren’t just famous for their collabs, but the way that they play with pop culture and nostalgia. This ASICS x X-Men pack was perhaps the best example of those qualities. These Gel-Lyte IIIs were sold in mystery packs, with some pairs being far more limited than others. Fittingly, each character-themed colourway came with an exclusive, limited trading card.

Air Jordan 1 'Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse' (2023)

Also known as the ‘Next Chapter’, these AJ1s were made for the 2023 sequel, Across the Spider-Verse. Again using the Chicago as its foundation, the overlays are a wild blend of materials and graphics, designed to mirror the universe-bending scenes in the film.

ASICS x Marvel x Kith ‘Super Villains’ (2024)

In their follow-up to their massive X-Men pack, Kith switched things up with a pack centred all around the villains. The ‘Super Villains’ pack featured popular ASICS models like the GT-2160 and Gel-Kayano 14, with colourways inspired by the likes of Magneto, Silver Surfer, and the Green Goblin.

Nike Dunk Low 'Silver Surfer' (2024)

Returning nearly two decades after its original release, the Nike Dunk Low ‘Silver Surfer’ got a clean update in 2024. This pair features a sleek metallic silver upper blending leather and mesh layers, with cosmic blue Swooshes on the sides.

Nike Air Force 1 'Invisible Woman 2.0' (2025)

Another Fantastic Four–themed retro, the Air Force 1 ‘Invisible Woman 2.0’ lives up to its name with see-through panels on the toe box and midfoot. The rest of the upper comes in white leather, with a translucent blue outsole underneath.

Bapesta x Marvel ‘Galactus & Silver Surfer' (2025)

Another titan of pop culture, A Bathing Ape and their iconic Bapesta first made waves back in 2005 with this Marvel drop. The ‘Galactus & Silver Surfer’ stands out thanks to its comic book-inspired magenta and blue colour palette, and Bape’s signature patent leather sheen.

Nike Air Flightposite ‘Green Goblin’ (1999)

This isn’t an official collab, and that isn’t even its official name. Either way, these Flightposites have been known as and tied to the Green Goblin character ever since Spider-Man (2002), where Willem Dafoe discreetly wore them as part of his iconic flight suit in the film.
