Since the start of the 2020s, A Ma Maniére has consistently put out some of the hottest collaborations across Nike’s catalogue. This year, the label is stepping things up with their ‘While You Were Sleeping’ collection.
This collection marks the brand’s 10 year anniversary is the biggest Nike collaboration since Virgil Abloh’s ‘The Ten’. The six shoes on offer cover a range of Nike, Air Jordan and Converse models, and showcase the iconic violet and brown colour palette and luxury touches that A Ma Maniére is famous for.
Nike
Immediately one of the standouts of this collection would be the Air Max 95. Teased earlier this year, this AM95 features the AMM palette as a gradient on its signature layered upper. A black leather mudguard ties into the AM95’s chunky Air midsole, with pink rope laces adding to the luxury aesthetic.
AMM also presents a new colourway for the Air Force 1. The premium smooth leather upper is coated in soft pink tones, with textured silver Swooshes on the sides. Nike and AMM branding appears on the tongue tags and gold deubrés, with a unique print on the inner lining.
Air Jordan
This collection also revisits AMM’s previous success on the Air Jordan 3 and 4. Their latest AJ3 colourway features a jet black tumbled leather upper, with smooth accents of violet nubuck and hairy grey suede overlays on the toe and heel.
The new ‘Phantom’ colourway for the AJ4 serves as a mirror for the ‘Violet Ore’ pair from 2022. This pair comes in the lightest violet possible throughout its upper, complemented with vintage cream tones on its laces and midsole.
Rounding out the Jordan section of this collection is the all-new Air Jordan 39. The upper features dark violet overlays of soft suede, with the 39’s unique camo print rendered with A Ma Maniére’s signature colour palette.
Converse
Like ‘The Ten’, this collection also gives Converse some representation. Instead of touching up some Chuck Taylors, AMM maintains a luxurious leather-bound aesthetic with their take on the recently rereleased Converse Weapon Low. This pair comes in a premium white and tan leather upper with soft pink touches on its laces and tongue tags, plus some luxurious quilted inner lining. The A Ma Maniére name also appears along the Weapon’s signature Y-bar.
