There’s been no shortage of amazing Air Jordan 4 releases this year. Earlier we had the White Cement Retro and Nigel Sylvester’s ‘Brick by Brick’ collab, and we’ve still got the UNDEFEATED 4s to come. This July, Jordan are dropping one of the hottest colourways of the summer, the Rare Air.
We’ve had several Rare Air drops this year, including two AJ1s and an AJ3. The name ‘Rare Air’ refers to colourways that were previously unreleased samples. This collection is one of the many ways that Jordan Brand are marking their 40th anniversary.
The Air Jordan 4 ‘Rare Air’ comes in a premium black nubuck upper with a grey suede mudguard. Bold blue and red accents also appear throughout the shoe, giving it a truly unique look. One of the most interesting features of the Rare Air is the velcro tongue tag, a mid-2000s detail also which also reappears on the upcoming UNDEFEATED 4 Retro. The 4’s classic Jumpman Flight tag can be removed to reveal Rare Air branding underneath.
To make things extra special, a unique gold variant of the tongue’s Rare Air branding will feature on 2% of all pairs. This ultra-limited detail is sure to give the Rare Air 4 that extra edge with collectors.
The Air Jordan 4 ‘Rare Air’ drops on the 26th of July. As always, if you miss out on the retail release be sure to check out the listings on KLEKT.
