Yesterday news broke that the beloved scandi brand GANNI was collaborating with New Balance. The result? A duo of dreamy 2002R’s, the fashion girlies are quaking in their crisp 550s. Let’s take a closer look at the sneakers in question, shall we…
The Danish fashion brand chose the chunky 2002R model as their muse giving the athletic silhouette a Y2K inspired makeover (Hello sporty spice). Constructed from a slew of recycled materials the designs feature a tactile combination of supple pig suede, smooth and perforated leather layered up (ala scandi-girl style). One sporting a tonal grey palette and the other a soft cream. Contrast is key to this collab, with each sneaker sporting hits of green across the sole and sock liner. Monograms feature heavily with the pair sporting GANNI print inserts across the mid and toe panels, not forgetting the classic stacked up N emblem adorning the midsection. They ooze versatility, crafted for the girls on the go, dressed up or down. We can’t wait to get our hands on these beauties!
