The Nike Air Max 90 is no stranger to bold colourways, but the upcoming ‘Mad 90’ pack takes things to another level. Drawing inspiration from the energetic spirit of classic football boots, Nike is set to deliver a four-pack of Air Max 90s with vibrant tones, striking contrasts, different materials and unmistakable retro appeal.
Each of the four colourways take inspiration from an iconic football silhouette from Nike’s catalogue. The flashiest of the four would have to be the Total 90 and Hypervenom pairs, contrasting black accents with vivid yellow and orange tones.
For a more toned-down look, the Mercurial-inspired pair features premium black leather with sleek quilted patterns, complete with a fold-over football tongue. Finally, the Tiempo shares a similar black leather build, but with a unique cracked finish, giving the feel of a pair that’s been worn in on the pitch. All four pairs share classic AM90 tooling, as well as traces of branding referencing their classic football heritage.
