Fresh off a run of hugely successful Jordan Brand collaborations, the New York BMX star Nigel Sylvester is reportedly set to put his stamp on the Air Jordan 6 for the very first time. Expected to arrive in Summer 2027, the project is already generating serious buzz, with early reports pointing to a concept inspired by the classic arcade game Paperboy.
For those unfamiliar, Paperboy was an Atari game from 1985 where you play as, you guessed it: a paperboy. Players navigated suburban streets delivering newspapers while avoiding traffic, obstacles, and all kinds of chaos. It's a perfect source of inspiration for Sylvester, whose collaborative storytelling consists of BMX culture and nostalgia.

Although Jordan Brand has yet to officially unveil the sneaker, early reports suggest the Air Jordan 6 will feature a bold blue upper inspired by the game's artwork and the rider's bicycle. White is expected to land on the midsole and outsole, while Nigel's signature mini Swoosh near the forefoot is tipped to return following its appearance on previous collaborations. Fans should also expect the now-iconic "Bike Air" branding make another appearance, although even that detail remains unconfirmed.
The collaboration marks another milestone in one of Jordan Brand's strongest modern partnerships. Since becoming the first BMX athlete signed to the Jumpman, Sylvester has consistently delivered some of the most sought-after releases in recent memory. From the weathered sail Air Jordan 1 High OG to the ‘Better With Time’ Low OG and the award-winning ‘Brick’ Air Jordan 4s, every project has blended personal storytelling with genuine wearability.
Choosing the Air Jordan 6 also feels significant. Designed by Tinker Hatfield and famously worn by Michael Jordan during his first NBA championship season, the silhouette has long been regarded as one of the brand's greatest performance models. Taking on the AJ6 looks like a bold next step for Nigel’s massive series of collabs.
The Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 6 is currently expected to release during Summer 2027 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers. As always, official images and full release details are still under wraps, so expect more information to surface closer to launch.
