Union Los Angeles is back on the Dunk Low, and this time it is part of something bigger. Natural Selection is a new Union x Nike capsule of footwear and apparel, and the Union x Nike Dunk Low 'Bamboo' is the pair most expected to lead it. It looks quiet at first, almost plain. The details are where Union does the work.
The name comes from Darwin's idea that what suits its environment survives. Union applies it to the Dunk itself: a basketball shoe from 1985 that made it into skateboarding, music and streetwear because people simply kept wearing it.
The Union x Nike Dunk Low 'Bamboo' Design
The upper is olive suede from toe to heel, with tonal laces and a matching Swoosh. A small Union label sits on the lace area, and bright yellow zigzag stitching on the forefoot adds the one hit of colour. A light cream sole keeps the look soft.
The biggest change is at the back. The heel collapses, so the Dunk can be worn as a slip-on like a mule. 'UNION' is embossed into the heel tab, and the pair comes in an orange box with Nike and Union branding in blue and white.
Union has not named every colourway yet, but the campaign shows more. A brown suede Dunk with an all-over leopard-style pattern sits next to the Bamboo pair, and a black version in Off Noir with University Gold details (IF7380-001) has also been reported. The apparel comes in washed brown tones with Union logos.
Union and Nike
Chris Gibbs has run Union on La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles for over two decades, and the store's Nike and Jordan Brand projects are some of the most collected of the last ten years. Union's last Dunk Lows came in 2022 as the Passport Pack in Pistachio, Court Purple and Argon. Union x Nike Dunk Low 'Bamboo' Release
Union releases the Natural Selection capsule on Friday 30 October 2026. The Union x Nike Dunk Low 'Bamboo' follows on 6 November 2026 via Nike SNKRS and selected retailers, with Union Los Angeles also stocking it. The style code is IF7380-200 and the official colourway is Bamboo/University Gold/Light Cream. Euro pricing has not been confirmed yet.
