Nike's recovery range has grown quickly over the past year. After the Nike Mind 001, the Hyperice slide and the relatively affordable Nike 24.7, the next step is one most people did not see coming: the Nike 24.7 Boot, a cold-weather version of the rest-day shoe.
On paper it is a winter slip-on. In pictures it looks like nothing else in Nike's catalogue right now, with a ruffled, moulded collar at the back and a soft suede upper that has already drawn comparisons to both Yeezy and UGG.
The idea behind the 24.7 line is simple. It is not made for training days, but for the days in between, when comfort and easy wear matter more than performance. The boot keeps that brief and adds warmth. The suede upper wraps the foot like a classic winter boot, while the textured rear section is very likely there to make it an easy on and off shoe, in the same way Nike has used EasyOn technology across more and more of its catalogue.
Underfoot, the bumped traction pattern is shared with the Nike 24.7 sneaker and is clearly meant to recall the Nike Mind 001 without copying its full sensory system. The adult pair comes in Dark Driftwood with Mosswood Brown and small Orange Pulse accents. A grade school version in Pale Ivory, Light Orewood Brown and Lime Blast offers a lighter option for younger feet.
Nike 24.7 Boot Release
The Nike 24.7 Boot has already appeared on Nike's global channels, while a US release date has not been confirmed. The style code for the adult pair is IR0450-200 and the official colourway is Dark Driftwood/Mosswood Brown/Orange Pulse. The grade school pair carries the style code IR0452-100 in Pale Ivory/Light Orewood Brown/Lime Blast.
