As part of our new partnership, KLEKT is excited to present an all-new series: Sole Stories, created by Sean Wotherspoon. This series is built around a mix of exciting guests, taking us through their personal stories surrounding an important shoe in each of their collections.
In Sean’s own words, “every sole has a soul… to me, the soul of a sneaker is everything from the story behind the design, where they have been, personal stories the owner has, anything that could give them life and character”. Each episode centres around one guest, one meaningful pair of shoes in their collection, and the personal stories that make that shoe special.
In our first episode, Sean links up with the actor, golfer, and jeweller extraordinaire, Ben Baller. As a die-hard Lakers fan, Baller takes us through his memories of attending games since the 80s, his favourite Kobe models, and shows off his F&F pair of Kobe x Eric Koston SBs.

The rest of Sole Stories season one will release weekly on our channels, including the KLEKTIVE Blog. Shot throughout Sean’s hometown of Los Angeles, expect to see some more big names in the upcoming episodes, including Nemoe, Mike Cherman, Nick Turturro and Sean Wotherspoon himself.
But this isn’t just about big names, just ask Sean. “Unless the community is involved, then you’re not really doing much for the community. I also wanted to encourage people to dig past the hype, and start to think of special stories behind their most worn pairs. You might find a whole new love for a pair you forgot about.”
