2025 had some great releases, and we couldn’t let January slip by without celebrating some of our favourites. We’ve invited some of our Team KLEKT members to pitch in with their top sneaker picks of 2025.

The number 1 pick for me has to be the Air Jordan 5 ‘Fire Red Black Tongue’. I am a OG Jordanhead, and have waited for a Retro with the Nike Air on the back since 1990. The 2025 rerelease a great Retro in my opinion. The leather is great and all the details are close to the OG.

My number 2 is the US only Air Jordan x Awake 5 ‘Pink Ice’, limited to 7000 pairs. I love Jordan 5s, I own around 130 Pairs at the moment, all kiinds of colourways and collaborations. I love pink colourways, and the quality of this pink Awake is insane.

My number 3 is the Air Jordan x Nigel Sylvester 4 ‘Brick By Brick’. As a kid I had BMX Bike, and love the iconic movie BMX Bandits from the ’80s. The quality, the details and the storytelling behind it all makes the ‘Brick By Brick’ amazing

The Air Jordan 4 x Nike SB ‘Navy’ is one of my favorites because of its super clean colourway. The gum sole gives the Jordan 4 a unique look, and I personally love how it elevates the silhouette.

The Air Jordan 3 x A Ma Maniére stands out for its amazing comfort and premium quality. It feels incredibly well made and works perfectly for everyday wear.

Finally, the Air Jordan 1 x Union LA is a true must-have for me. The colourway plays with the iconic Jordan 1 colours in a fresh way, making it a timeless yet special sneaker.

I chose these three silhouettes because I believe they capture the essence of what sneakerhead culture meant to me when I was starting out: exclusive collaborations and a very urban aesthetic.

The Air Jordan x Travis Scott x Fragment 1 Low OG ‘Military Blue’ represents the peak of collaborative storytelling, a sneaker where legacy, music, and design intersect seamlessly. It’s refined, instantly recognizable, and rooted in authenticity rather than excess.

The Nike x Corteiz Air Max 95 SP ‘Tour Yellow‘ channels a different energy altogether. Bold, raw, and unapologetically street-driven. It speaks to community, movement, and the kind of urban influence that has always defined the Air Max 95. It’s a silhouette built for the city and shaped by it.

Completing the trio is the Nike x Kobe Bryant Air Force 1 Low Protro ‘Soft Yellow’. This is a pair that carries meaning far beyond its rarity. Blending one of Nike’s most iconic silhouettes with Kobe’s legacy, it stands as a quiet but powerful tribute, grounded in respect and cultural significance.

For me, my top 3 pairs of the year are easy to name.

Number 1 is without a doubt my most worn pair this year: the ASICS Gel-Kayano 14 x JJJJound ‘Midnight’. I love the simplicity of this shoe, the clean overall vibe, and especially the comfort. I can honestly say I wore the hell out of them.

Also in my top 3 is the Air Jordan 1 High x Union LA ‘Chicago/Shadow’. I saw this pair last year and immediately knew I needed it. The colourway combined with the Union details just hits different. A true must-have in my collection.

And finally, rounding out my top 3 picks, and easily a sneaker of the year contender, is the Air Jordan 4 x Nigel Sylvester ‘Brick By Brick’. The red colourway is loud – really loud – but that’s exactly what I like about it. It’s crazy, bold, and an absolute must-have for any serious collection.
