The infamous nu-metal act Korn are finally getting their own adidas collaboration. We’ll be taking you through the band’s history with adidas, as well as what’s featured in this new collection.
In a promo video dropped on the adidas Originals channels, frontman Jonathan Davis explains how Korn’s aesthetics were inspired by the streetwear styles of gangsta rap artists. This was one of the ways in which bands like Korn separated themselves from traditional metal outfits, a prelude to the rap/rock style of nu-metal. However, their hopes of an official adidas collaboration were dashed with the release of their 1996 track, A.D.I.D.A.S. (or All Day I Dream About Sex).

While there was never an official collaboration, Korn were known to frequently rock the Three Stripes on stage. Davis himself customised pieces like his iconic purple tracksuit and an adidas kilt. Now, 27 years later Korn and adidas are finally coming together.
This upcoming capsule consists of a mix of graphic tees, hoodies and tracksuits, along with two sneakers loaded with nu-metal nostalgia. The first is the adidas Campus 00s, coming in black suede with white stripes. The second is the Supermodified version of the classic adidas shell toe, done in white leather and black stripes. Both shoes feature unique Korn branding and packaging.
As many of you already know Campus 00s have been gaining traction as part of a trend surrounding Y2K aesthetics. Originally released as a skate shoe in 1997, the Supermodified model has also made a comeback recently. This shoe was also worn by groups like Korn and Limp Bizkit, making it a perfect model for adidas to bring back amidst the nu-metal resurgence and a perfect fit for this capsule.
