The 2026 World Cup kicks off in a matter of days, and Nike is making sure football culture extends far beyond the pitch. This time, the Swoosh is linking up with the Virgil Abloh Archive for a special USMNT Lifestyle Collection, while also preparing one of the year’s most anticipated footwear launches: the Nike Cryoshot.
If there’s one thing Virgil Abloh understood better than anyone, it was how to blur the lines between sport, fashion, and culture. Now, through the Virgil Abloh Archive, that legacy continues with a collection celebrating the United States Men’s National Team ahead of the World Cup on home soil.

The collection leans heavily into Abloh’s signature design language. The standout piece is a lifestyle football shirt featuring a clean white base, oversized navy and red striping, a retro polo collar, and bold “Football America” graphics across the chest. Deconstructed details and custom typography give the jersey an unmistakable Virgil feel, balancing sportswear heritage with modern streetwear energy. But the apparel is only half the story.
Alongside the collection comes the highly anticipated Nike Cryoshot, a brand-new project designed to bring iconic football boots into everyday sneaker culture. First teased during The Codes exhibition in Paris, the Virgil Abloh Archive Cryoshot transforms classic pitch-ready Tiempo design into a lifestyle sneaker through a transparent, streetwear-focused sole unit.
The Cryoshot Tiempo arrives in a clean white leather colourway accented by University Red and black detailing. Signature touches include exposed construction elements, embroidered mini Swooshes, industrial-inspired design cues, and the familiar red zip tie that became synonymous with Virgil’s Nike work.
What makes this release even bigger is its place within Nike’s wider World Cup strategy. The Cryoshot is reportedly part of a global collaboration series featuring partners including Palace, Patta, NOCTA, Jacquemus and more, each representing different nations and creative communities through football.
The Virgil Abloh Archive x Nike USMNT Collection and Nike Cryoshot are both expected to release in Summer 2026 via Nike SNKRS, select retailers, and Virgil Abloh Archive channels.
