The upcoming collaboration between Yu-Gi-Oh and adidas seems purpose-built for mid-2000s nostalgia. Combining the chunky skate shoe style of the era with the world-famous anime/card game.
This is Yu-Gi-Oh’s third collab on the ADI2000 silhouette. While the previous two pairs were all-white with card characters printed on the sides, this ‘Yugi’s World’ colourway comes in black leather with purple and gold accents, inspired by the character, Yami Yugi.
The tongue and deubre’s are packed with details and references fans will surely recognize, including the Millenium Puzzle symbols. The shoes come in a special box, bundled alongside a gold Exodia hang tag and limited Dark Magician card, ensuring this collabs status as a collector’s item.
