Hi, it’s JB (@j.b_sneakertown). I’m located in the UK on the south coast and always had a love for kicks, especially Nike Air Max! This love started back when I was at school and I was always so envious of my friends’ new pairs. The first pair I can remember wearing with pride was a Hi-Tec, back in the 80s and early 90s. It was only when I was at university that I actually started to collect kicks and the pair that started it all was the 2005 Air Max 90 Retro Infrared, which I bought in a high street shop in Cardiff.
One of my housemates at the time was into collecting and I always thought he was crazy to have so many pairs of sneakers. Now the shoe is on the other foot and I’m the crazy one!!
Nike Air Max 3 Radiant Red
This leads nicely onto my first pick, the Air Max 3 2020 Radiant Red, one of the most iconic silhouettes and colourways! Nike absolutely smashed these Recrafted pairs and the shape is one of the best out there.
Nike Air Max 3 Laser Blue
Moving on to another iconic colourway and another Recrafted Air Max 3, the Laser Blue 2020! Again the colours are synonymous with Nike and the comfort levels are at maximum. I’m a sucker for the sharp shape on sneakers, hence why most of my collection is Air Max with a couple of Huaraches thrown in.
Nike Air Max 1 Anniversary Royal Blue
The Air Max 1 is another classic with a sleeker shape than the 90s. Over the years I have collected quite a few pairs and one of my favourites of all time is the Air Max 1 Anniversary Royal Blue. Everything about this shoe is perfect, the OG colour blocking is so simple but hits hard on foot.
Nike Size? Exclusive Air Max 1 Safari
Another Air Max 1 that I’m extremely fond of is the Size? Safari pair. This animal print is perfectly applied with the orange mesh, making it an absolute classic!
Nike x Sean Wotherspoon Air Max 97/1
One of my all-time favourites is the Sean Wotherspoon 97/1, I’m a big fan of hybrids and this specific pair does not disappoint. Probably the best collab that Sean Wotherspoon has done and one of the best Nike has done alongside the 90/1, another amazing hybrid.
