It may not be for everyone, but the Off-White x Air Jordan 2 Low “Varsity Red” is without a doubt one of 2021’s most surprising collaborations. Having been teased for months now, the shoe has finally appeared on social media. We’ve seen various leaks, grainy images and even some in-hand shots. Well, to keep the hype train rolling, we’ve now got a brand new set of on-foot images featuring the Off-White Jordan 2.
There is no denying that the Air Jordan 2 is arguably the most unloved of all MJ’s signature sneakers. Known for his love of obscure models, Virgil Abloh really went left field for this collab. Taking the OG Jordan 2 colourway, Abloh has brought the 1987 shoe into 2021. Patent white leather features red accents on the heel tab, tongue and insole. Of course, things don’t stop there.
As you’d imagine, Virgil has updated the AJ2 with some unique features. A cracked looking midsole is arguably the most eye-catching. The cream midsole unit appears to be split across the middle, something we’ve not seen on an Off-White x Nike collab before. Michael Jordan’s signature has also been printed on the medial side, another new detail. Thankfully, the printed text on the side, laces and zip tag all comes as standard.
If you like the look of the Off-White x Air Jordan 2 Low “Varsity Red” then sit tight. According to sources, the pair will drop on September 23. There’s not much in terms of pricing yet, but stay tuned for more information. Check out the images below and let us know if you’re feeling these Off-White Jordans.
