Although Jordan Brand may not have even finished its Winter 20 release calendar, it looks as though Spring 2021 is already in its thoughts. Announcing the full line-up just yesterday, Jordan Brand has given us a closer look at what to expect next year. The news is, of course, exciting – giving sneakerheads the chance to decide what to and what not to cop. Thankfully, Nike has given us enough time to start saving to cop all this heat.
Kicking things off are three brand new Air Jordan 1 colourways dubbed “Silver Toe”, “UNC”, and “Volt”. Refreshing the soon to be 36-year old silhouette, Jordan Brand has decorated each of these sneakers in premium tumbled leather and eye-catching colour schemes. Although the “Volt” puts a fresh spin on MJs first signature model, its the dazzling “Silver Toe” and traditional “UNC” that really stand out from this tri of Jordan 1s.
Always wanting to bring back a classic pair, Jordan Brand has revealed that the Air Jordan 3 “Cool Grey” will be making a return. Since dropping back in 2007, the “Cool Grey” AJ3 has never seen a retro but that is now changing. Sticking true to the OG model, this upcoming release features premium materials, the same classic colourway as its predecessor. You can already imagine that this is going to be one of the biggest releases of Spring.
Two Air Jordan 4s are also in the works, a women’s exclusive dubbed the “Starfish” and a second “University Blue” iteration. The “Starfish” features technical materials used on spacesuits and is designed to showcase “strength and beauty.” The “University Blue” uses a powder blue suede throughout the upper and is paired with classic cement detailing throughout, adding an updated take to this instantly recognisable Jordan model.
Not forgetting the Air Jordan 5, Jordan Brand is also set to drop two versions this spring. The 2006 Air Jordan 5 “Stealth” will be making a return in true OG form, complete with crisp white tumbled leather, blue accents and a black and grey sole. Always striving to push the AJ5 history, Jordan Brand is also releasing an equally as stealthy black, grey and silver Jordan 5. The shoe uses a combination of materials such as suede, leather and mesh to create a brand new look for the AJ5.
Two Air Jordan 9s are also in the works and, for the first time, a women’s exclusive pair. Inspired by MJ’s impact on the world, the shoe is a reminder to put the wearer’s stamp on the planet. A combination of white, black, yellow and purple creates a bold AJ9, with “Change The World” on the heel tab adding a special sentiment. A second “University Gold” colour is equally as memorable, using a well-balanced black and gold colourway throughout.
Rounding things off is an Air Jordan 13 using “Starfish Orange”. The clever combo of white leather and orange suede throughout gives the shoe an added edge, helping revive this Air Jordan silhouette and make it fresh.
