When it comes to wild sneakers, Jordan Brand knows how to get experimental. Over the years, pony haired covered Jordans have become something of a regular thing. Late last year, the introduction of an animal print covered Air Jordan 3 left many sneakerheads wanting more animal-inspired kicks. Well, instead of looking to the wild cats and zebras for inspiration this time, it looks like Jordan Brand is turning to the wonderful world of reptiles.
Unlike the previous AJ3, this “Animal Instinct 2.0” uses a combination of faux animal leather throughout. Cold-blooded animals have been the muse for this AJ3, with a number of easily identifiable leathers used on this shoe. A snake print toe box is contrasted by an alligator and ostrich print upper, making for one slick AJ3. Of course, no Jordan 3 would be complete without an elephant print. However, this elephant print is a little different, using a darker shade on the heel than we are used to.
Bright colours such as green and yellow can be seen across the ankle and heel, working well against the predominantly black leather upper. A clean white midsole is also in effect, with a coloured midsole adding a hidden element too. This is one sneaker that is certainly eye-catching.
