We’ll be honest, a CLOT x sacai x Nike LDWaffle is one collaboration we really hadn’t pictured in 2021. Since news began that a fragment design x sacai x Nike LDWaffle was in the works, it seems that the silhouette has not become a staple for Swoosh collaborators. Chitose Abe’s futuristic design now appears to be a blank canvas, with other designers wanting to put their spin on it. Now, it looks as though CLOT will be the latest to do so.
Whilst details are still just emerging, we now have leaked imagery of the potential three-way collaboration. Taking a similar approach to its Air Max 1 collab, CLOT has opted for the same successful formula. A beige ripstop nylon upper works with beige suede accents on the mudguard and heel, matched perfectly with alternating orange and red leather. The Swooshes come in a distinct orange and pink too, but it’s the heel tabs that are our favourite detail. The co-branding is slick, featuring the traditional “Nike sacai” with a small CLOT stamp over the top.
Right now there’s no real official information on this upcoming CLOT x sacai x Nike LDWaffle sneaker. Some sources suggest that the shoe will release in Fall but that is yet to be confirmed.
