There is no denying just how crazy the hype around the sacai x Nike LDWaffle has been. Since debuting at the Paris Fashion Week show in 2018, the unusual silhouette has become one of the most sought after sneakers on the planet. However, over the past week, the hype has been building around a potential new colourway. It also just happens to be a collaboration with one of the most influential brands in streetwear: fragment design.
After being revealed by Hiroshi Fujiwara last week, sneakerheads have been waiting to see whether the fragment design x sacai x Nike collaboration is in fact happening. With Fujiwara showing off a number of samples in recent weeks, many thought that it was a one-off. Yet, it looks like this could be an official collaboration.
Further images of the fragment design x sacai x Nike LDWaffle have surfaced online. We now have a detailed look at the collaborative shoe which has some unique details. Using Fujiwara’s preferred navy, black and white colourway, the fragment sacais offer something new to this stacked sneaker. Navy nylon contrasts with black suede and features a small fragment design thunderbolt on the mudguard. White Swooshes and soles are offset by black satin laces and a matching black sole. Further fragment branding can be seen on the insole, though there is not much more.
For now, we’ll just have to wait and see what news comes out about this sneaker. Check out the images below and let us know if you’d cop these fragment design x sacai x Nike LDWaffle sneakers.
