The Nike SB Dunk has had a dramatic return to the spotlight. Over the past two years or so, then the classic silhouette has gone from being a relic to one of the most in-demand models in the sneaker community. Celebrities like Travis Scott and Virgil Abloh have helped bring the Dunk back into the limelight, creating an unprecedented level of hype. Now, as Nike looks to keep the momentum going, it is collaborating with Berlin skate shop, Civilist.
Whilst the news is yet to be confirmed, sources are reporting that Civilist will be getting its own SB Dunk this year. The Berlin skate store, founded in 2009, has become a hub for German skaters. Alex Flach and Andreas Hasse set out to create a skate store with an art gallery feel. The result has been nothing short of amazing. For over 10 years, Civilist has created a vibe unlike any other in European skating and its culture.
According to Sole By JC, the Civilist Nike SB Dunk will release later this year. The sneaker features a very close colour pattern as the atmos x Nike Air Max 1 “Elephant”, but with some subtle differences. A custom insole bears both brands logos, adding a splash of colour. No further release info, or pricing, has yet been revealed.
