After rumours started that the CLOT x Nike Air Max 1 “Kiss of Death” retro would take place in 2021, the sneaker community began to get excited. Over the past month or so, we’ve seen a number of teasers, leaked images and videos. As we edge ever closer to the drop date, sneakerheads around the globe have been waiting for official confirmation of the release. Thanks to an official lookbook and release info from CLOT, we now have a date.
Originally released back in 2006, the CLOT x Nike Air Max 1 “Kiss of Death” quickly became a grail for many. Inspired by the traditional Chinese medicine/philosophy of Qi, the “Kiss of Death” AM1 features a unique design. Soft tan suede works with matching ostrich leather on the collar and a faux snakeskin Swoosh. Red and orange accents add a nice contrast and help to highlight the translucent toe box that creates a window into the custom insole.
A foot reflexology diagram can be seen on the AM1 insole and represents the various different stress points on the body. Reds, blues, greens and yellows can all be seen throughout the sole, adding to the vibrancy of this Air Max 1. The bright orange midsole, complete with an icy blue outsole, only adds to the allure of this sneaker. Housed in a custom box and featuring custom artwork both in and outside, these are going to be a tough cop.
According to CLOT, the “Kiss of Death” Nike Air Max 1 will release in Asia first on February 27th with a global release date taking place later. If you like the look of the CLOT AM1, then good luck. These are going to be a must-have for many sneakerheads. Check out the official images below and let us know if you’ll pick up these Air Max.
