Travis Scott’s Nike collaborations have been pretty wild over the past three years. The 28-year-old Houston native has launched some of the most successful Air Force 1s and Air Jordans in recent memory. After championing the Nike SB Dunk from 2018 onwards, Travis Scott has also helped reignite the hype surrounding the classic silhouette. Having released his own JackBoys Nike SB Dunk Low earlier this year, many were hopeful to see the design process. Well, thankfully we have a closer look at a sample of his.
Of course, this is not the first time that we have seen this sample. In late March, La Flame took to Instagram to reveal a detailed look at his Nike SB Dunk Low sample. Although the design remained relatively close to the one that released, sneakerheads were quick to notice a few big differences. For starters, the tearaway plaid fabric had been removed. There were also some changes on the midsole as well as the outsole.
On the retail release pair, a beige and gum midsole was used, whereas the sample features beige and brown. This sample also utilises a black pebbled leather Swoosh, a big change from the pink and brown Swooshes used on the retail pair. Thanks to Han Zu Ying, we now have a closer look at the samples. Although these are likely to never release, we can dream.
