Although nearly every launch has been online for the past four months, the sneaker community somehow feels as though it’s got stronger. Whilst 2020 may have been one of the strangest years on record, that hasn’t stopped brands from releasing a tonne of heat. Since the start of the new decade, Nike has been giving a number of classic shoes a vintage update. Now, the Swoosh is draping the Air Max 1 in a sleek “Hunter Green.”
Taking the OG Air Max 1 shape, Nike has draped the silhouette in the familiar white mesh and grey suede. An ode to the original Air Max 1, the sneaker wouldn’t look out of place in 1987, let alone 2020. However, it is the “Hunter Green” accents that really bring this Air Max out of its shell. Adorning the Swoosh, mudguard and panels. On the heel, “Nike Air” is written in the same green, adding to the allure of this 80s looking sneaker. A crisp white midsole with a black sole finishes this simple Air Max 1 off nicely.
