Although the Nike Air Max BW may be one of the more underrated, the influence of the “Persian Violet” colourways throughout the Swoosh’s history is undeniable. Originally launched in 1991, the Air Max BW is fast approaching its 30th anniversary. As you would expect for a colourway of this importance, Nike is looking to celebrate. What better way to do so than to bring back the Air Max BW “Persian Violet” in its OG form.
Although not much is known about the upcoming release, there is enough to get us excited. Since its original release almost 30 years ago, the Air Max BW “Persian Violet” has often been overlooked. Constructed in a simple black mesh and leather, the AMBW features a black and white construction but is paired with purple accents. The satin tongue is an ode to the early 90’s era of runners at Nike too. White detailing throughout gives the shoe a nice balance, with the visible ait unit bringing things to a close.
Whilst there is not much information about the Nike Air Max BW “Persian Violet” release, the news alone is exciting. All we do know for now is that the pair will return in 2021 but there are no concrete drop details. As always, check back to KLEKTIVE where we’ll keep you updated. Take a look at the previous retro below and let us know if you’ll cop these Air Max.
