The world of skateboarding is known for its run-ins with the law. Recognising this, Nike has always released a special sneaker around 4/20; a day that most will have heard of. Of course, this has always been referenced in Nike’s special SB Dunks. The latest sneaker to get this treatment is the “Strawberry Cough” Nike SB Dunk.
Thanks to the help of legendary skate illustrator Todd Bratrud the “Strawberry Cough” Dunk is one of the most playful of 2020 so far. Referencing the fruit it’s named after, the “Strawberry Cough” features textured leather and suede.
A bright red leather midsection and toe are contrasted by a green suede ankle and velour heel. On the Dunk heel, a coughing strawberry can be seen, whilst an icy blue midsole finishes the shoe off. Even the insoles feature detailed artwork of the sneaker name.
