There are few sneaker boutiques as well respected as Chicago’s Notre. Located in the heart of the Windy City, Notre takes great inspiration from Chicago’s community spirit. From book drive launches in exchange for sneaker raffle tickets and charity initiative, Notre represents everything that’s great about Chicago. Having been close partners with Nike for a number of years, Notre is well connected with the Swoosh. Now, it looks like Notre is looking at its hometown for inspiration on it’s Nike Dunk High collaboration.
According to Michael Jaworowski, Notre co-founder, it’s a story of everything that the store stands for. “We wanted to be a place, a business in Chicago, that could uplift individuals and organizations in the city and believe we’re making positive changes” Jaworowski explains. Translating from the French for “our”, this Dunk collab is designed to represent Chicago as well as it’s hard-working residents.
Dropping in two colourways, “Blue Void” and “Light Orewood Brown”, Notre’s Nike Dunk High is already looking like a must cop. Constructed in subtle suede and leather throughout, the shoe utilises a durable work shirt aesthetic directly linked to Chicagoans work ethic. Classic shirt detailing like the updated name badge features Notre’s logo, a subtle detail we’re a huge fan of. However, there’s a deeper meaning behind this Dunk design.
Releasing exclusively at Notre on January 21st, these Nike Dunk Highs going to be a tough cop. However, the good news is there will be a wider release on January 23rd o the “Blue Void”. Check out the official images below and let us know if you’ll cop.
