Over the past few weeks, the sneaker community has been seeing more and more of the DENHAM x Nike Air Max collaborations. The Amsterdam-based manufacturer is dropping three collabs this year, covering the Air Max 1, Air Max 90 and Air Max 95. It’s been tough picking a favourite, but we think that the DENHAM AM1 may just edge. Thankfully, Nike has now graced us with official images of the upcoming shoe.
Created using a blend of premium suede and leather, the DENHAM x Air Max 1 is already looking great. Varying shades of blue come together to form a subtle yet luxurious sneaker. On the upper, a well-balanced combination of traditional Japanese Boro stitching contrasts against a denim toe. A set of white laces works with a set of matching laces, whilst a cream tongue tab is paired with a cream heel. Of course, the intricate detailing doesn’t just stop there.
The insole of the upcoming DENHAM AM1 is an ode to the tools of the denim trade. A red leather insole combines gold scissors and a gold Swoosh to create a truly unique insole design. Printed onto the white leather insole are the words “DENHAM The Jean Maker”, completing a perfect pair of collaborative Air Max sneakers.
If you’re looking to get your hands on these, you do have a little longer to wait. There is no confirmed release date just, but reports suggest that these AM1s will launch very soon. Check out the official images below and let us know if you’ll cop these DENHAM Air Max.
