When images of an Instant Skateboards x Nike SB Dunk Low collaboration began circulating various sneaker forums earlier this year, the community got excited. As one of the key figures in Japanese skating, Instant Skateboards commands a high level of respect amongst its close-knit fans. Over the past few months, the hype surrounding the Instant Skateboards Dunks has only continued to grow. Now, Nike has given us our first official look at the upcoming sneaker.
Boasting a vibrant upper, the Instant Skateboards x Nike SB Dunk Low is already looking like of the year’s best Dunks. A playful combination of bright blue leather works with a cream mudguard to create a nice balance. The black Swoosh on the midsection matches the heel, whilst a 3M reflective toe adds a colour pop under a flash. Keeping things simple is a white midsole with a black sole, but it is the subtle details that give this SB Dunk an edge.
Located on the rear panel is an embroidered dog and crossbones motif; whilst the updated tongue tag features the Instant Skateboards logo. Gold stitching can be seen throughout the shoe and, under UV light, adds a slick element to this collaboration. Finally, three sets of laces come as standard with this SB Dunk, bringing this Dunk to a close.
If you like the look of the Instant Skateboards x Nike SB Dunk Low, then there’s good news. The sneaker is rumoured to drop on September 19th for €100. This is most likely going to be a skate shop exclusive as well as dropping on SNKRS. Check out the images below and let us know if you’ll cop these SB Dunks.
