Sneakerheads around the world have been gearing up to try and cop the sacai x Nike Vaporwaffle. Since first being debuted back in January 2020, there’s been little to no update on a release of the upcoming collaboration. After months, things don’t look to be changing any time soon. However, that’s not to say that we haven’t been treated to leaked images. Thankfully, we now have a closer look at the sacai x Nike Vaporwaffle “Tour Yellow.”
As one of the OG colourways shown at sacai’s Fall 20 presentation in Paris, this has been causing a stir for a while now. Chitose Abe’s label has fused the University of Oregon colours on this shoe too, perfectly pairing the eye-catching yellow and green together. The combination of two classic Nike silhouettes, the Pegasus and Vaporfly have come together perfectly on this shoe. In keeping with design inspiration, double-stacked features can be seen throughout this shoe, from the laces, tongue and midsole.
Right now, we don’t have a confirmed release date for the sacai x Nike Vaporwaffle. As many sneakerheads will know, a lot of big releases have been delayed this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Fingers crossed we get our hands on these soon though.
