All the way back in January the world was introduced to the sacai x Nike Vaporwaffle. Although there’s been a number of delays due to COVID-19, that hasn’t stopped the hype around the shoe from growing. With a selection of colourways on the line-up, sacai’s latest collaboration with the Swoosh has got a lot of people excited. The fall release date has, thankfully, almost come around though, with the shoes now finally set to release next month.
Official images of the upcoming sacai x Nike sneaker have surfaced online. A combination of mesh, suede and leather come together to create a premium looking silhouette whilst still keeping the high fashion take on traditional running footwear. However, features from its previous collaboration that help to make this sneaker stand out.
Taking the same successful recipe as its LDWaffle collab, sacai has opted for the double detailing once more. Swooshes feature in leather and are printed on the mesh, with two sets of laces and tongues adding a nice touch. Subtle branding can be spotted on the heel and bears “Nike sacai”; matching that found on the LDWaffle. Double stacked midsoles and soles bring this shoe to a close, rounding off another perfect collab from sacai x Nike.
