With news that the Nike Air Huarache OG “Black Anthracite” is returning, sneakerheads from every generation are beginning to get excited. After the crazy hype for the “Triple Black” Huarache back in the day, it seems as though Nike is now paying homage to the OG. As the demand for the Huarache only seems to be growing in 2021, thankfully Nike is bringing back some great pairs to help cement the popularity. One of those is the “Black Anthracite.”
Since first gracing stores back in 1991, the Nike Huarache has remained one of the most important sneakers in history. The “Black Anthracite” colourway boasts all the familiar comfort at its core as well as the lightweight appeal that many know and love. Taking a different approach to this colourway, Nike has opted for black leather panels over a mesh anthracite base. The textured leather works nicely against the plain mesh and Nike has even gone for an OG style tongue tag too. Finally, the sole reads “HAVE YOU HUGGED YOUR FOOT TODAY?” a nod to the original campaign from the ’90s.
If you like the look of the Nike Air Huarache OG “Black Anthracite” then there’s good news. According to sources and retailers, the pair will drop on May 29th for €130.
