When it comes to memorable sneakers, the Nike Air Huarache OG “Escape” is certainly one of them. Originally released as part of the 2003 “Escape” pack alongside the Nike Air Max 90, the colourway has remained an icon for OG collectors. With the Huarache celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, Nike has been reissuing a tonne of classic pairs to celebrate. Well, after more than 18 years, the “Escape” Huarache is coming back.
Looking every bit as good as the original, the Nike Air Huarache OG “Escape” is looking like a must-cop for us. The grey and white neoprene upper is contrasted by brown and cream leather panels to create a premium looking Huarache. Semi-translucent straps wrap around the heel and add a nice balance against the white laces and midsole. Finally, the monochromatic “Air Huarache” badge takes centre stage, bringing this OG straight into 2021.
