The world is still mourning the loss of Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna. Having unfortunately passed away earlier this year, the world seemed to be just that bit darker. Since then, sneakerheads have paid their own tributes, bringing out their favourite Kobe’s to honour the late player. Nike was quick to remember one of its greatest sons, unveiling a short film that commemorated one of the greatest basketball players of all time. Well, it appears a number of Kobe’s will be reissued for 2021.
Whilst the news is still not confirmed, according to early reports we will see the return of the Nike Kobe 6 “Del Sol.” Regularly worn during Kobe’s prolific 2010-2011 season, the Del Sol Kobe 6 quickly became one of his most popular silhouettes. The scaled black upper replicates the late Laker’s “Black Mamba” nickname. A contrasting yellow Swoosh, as well as Kobe’s iconic motif on the tongue, give this sneaker character.
Rumours also suggest that the “Del Sol” will be reissued alongside the “All-Star”, “Kay Yow” and “Grinch” Kobe 6s. With this latest news just coming through, it looks like Nike has some big plans to honour Kobe’s legacy. Check out the images of the Nike Kobe 6 “Del Sol” and let us know if you’ll be copping these.
