Yoon Ahn, the co-founder of Japanese label AMBUSH, is one of the most respected people in music and fashion. Having created the brand with close friend Verbal, Yoon’s work has seen her create album artwork for Kanye West as well as become the head of jewellery design for Dior Homme after Kim Jones appointment. Her work with Converse and Nike has seen her open the sneaker world to her aesthetic. Well, it looks like two AMBUSH x Nike Dunks are coming later this year.
Though details are slim, the Nike Dunk news has come straight from Yoon herself. In an Instagram post, the designer explained that she is “working on 2 more new colorways for the @ambush_official and @nike DUNKS. The launch is a bit delayed due to the current situation, but I promise you it’s gonna be worth the wait.”
After Nike unveiled the AMBUSH Nike Dunk at the Future Sports Forum presentation earlier this year, we already know that a bright pink version is on the way. However, early reports suggest that a much subtler black and white colourway will also drop. For now, we will just have to wait and see what Yoon cooks up.
