When the Tom Sachs x NikeCraft Mars Yard 2.5 Wear Tester programme was announced, sneakerheads around the world wanted to get involved. After a select few participants were given the opportunity to put the shoe through its paces, there’s been a lot of hype. With several of the wear testers now receiving the full package, we were wondering: what exactly is inside the Tom Sachs x NikeCraft Mars Yard 2.5 kit? Thankfully, we know.
Previewed by @wideawakearthquake, we have a glimpse of everything that comes with the kit. Of course, the shoes arrived in the wearer’s size, that’s a given. However, each wear tester was also given a short-sleeve NikeCraft T-shirt complete with their name. The most important part of this programme is for the wearers to feedback any thoughts they have. That’s why the pocket-sized NikeCraft Wear Test notebook comes with the sneakers. Finally, the shoes come with a bag that allows wearers to carry them round with ease.
If, like the rest of us, you weren’t selected to wear test the Tom Sachs x NikeCraft Mars Yard 2.5, then sit tight. Right now, there’s no scheduled release date but the shoe is rumoured to drop later this year. All we can do is hope it drops sooner rather than later.
