Since its initial release back in 1991, the Nike Air Huarache OG “Scream Green” has remained one of the most futuristic designs of all time. Created by Tinker Hatfield, the Nike Huarache is without a doubt an iconic sneaker. Although it’s had periods of popularity in recent history, the Huarache has since been forgotten about. However, that all looks to be changing. After the recent success of the Stüssy iteration, we now have confirmation that the “Scream Green” is coming back this week.
Last retroed in 2014, the “Scream Green” Air Huarache is a pair for the early generation of sneakerheads. Nike is bringing the classic silhouette back in its true OG form, much to the delight of older collectors. A combination of white leather works with bold green and blue neoprene accents to create the sock-like fit. Black straps wrap around the back to provide support, perfectly balanced against the white midsole and black sole. However, it’s the tongue tag that’s the most important feature of this Huarache. Staying true to the original design, an embroidered “Nike Air Huarache” replaces the now famous rubber circle logo.
The good news is that the Nike Air Huarache OG “Scream Green” will finally be dropping this week. Priced at €130, these are going to be a must-cop for us here at KLEKT. Take a closer look at the images below and let us know if you’ll cop these Huaraches.
