When a collaboration between Louis Vuitton and the NBA was revealed, fashion fans around the world were left scratching their heads. As two of the largest brands on the planet, the partnership was certainly a surprise. Since the announcement back in January, there’s not been much else said. However, that looks to be changing. We now have our first glimpse at the upcoming Louis Vuitton x NBA sneaker ahead of its global release.
Revealed by none other than Retro Shop Paris, the upcoming Louis Vuitton x NBA sneaker is not what you might expect. Reminiscent of a high-end Timberland boot, it’s certainly going to be easy to wear. The premium take on the low cut silhouette is clear to see, however, with light brown suede featuring throughout the entire upper. Collaborative branding can be seen on the insole, although the large NBA logo on the tongue does this shoe enough justice. Traditional Louis Vuitton details can be seen stamped on the midsole too, bringing this unlikely success story to a close.
