February is already shaping up to be one of the biggest months of the year in the sneaker calendar. Releases from Nike, Jordan Brand and Yeezy are all set, with a few big drops happening next month. One of those releases is the Off-White™ x Air Jordan 5; a celebration of the Air Jordan 5s 30th anniversary. Well, it looks as though the third collaborative sneaker between Virgil Abloh and Jordan Brand is dropping in full family sizing.

Although rumours began to circulate in October that an Off-White™ Jordan collab was on its way, there was no indication that it would be a full family drop. Now, thanks to Nike, we have official images of the hypebeast family drop.

The Off-White™ x Jordan 5 is like no Air Jordan 5 ever seen before. Abloh has taken a futuristic approach to the classic “Black Metallic” colourway, using a deconstructed design throughout. A combination of black translucent mesh, circular cutouts and a white cage help to give this sneaker its edge.

Familiar elements of the “Black Metallic” can be seen, with the use of a 3M reflective tongue, black midsole and the number “23” on the heel. One of the most unique details on this sneaker is the sole. The yellow/gum colouring helps to give this sneaker its aged appearance; a knowing nod to the OG colourway of the AJ5.

All of Abloh’s signatures can be found throughout the shoe. The medial text, “SHOELACES” and zip tie have made their way onto this upcoming sneaker. A box, which has been dotted cutouts, houses the sneaker; finishing off this hyped silhouette nicely.

The Off-White™ Air Jordan 5 will drop on February 15th. Take a closer look at the images below and get ready ahead of the release.
