We may be less than two weeks into February but there’s already been a whole heap of big releases. Everything from Yeezys to Jordans and Dunks to Air Max has released. Nike SB Dunk Low “Plum”
After a 19-year hiatus, the Nike SB Dunk Low “Plum” returned last weekend. Originally part of the “Ugly Duckling” pack that released exclusively in Japan, the “Plum” features contrasting shades of purple in a luxury suede material. This is one not to miss out on.
Nike SB Dunk Low “StrangeLove”
It’s hard to make pink velvet sneakers work but somehow StrangeLove Skateboards has managed to do just that. Taking inspiration from the connotations surrounding love, the StrangeLove Dunks feature white and red crushed velvet with contrasting pink suede. The pastel sneaker is one of the years hottest drops.
adidas Yeezy Boost 700 MNVN “Triple Black”
The Yeezy 700 has become one of adidas and Kanye’s most iconic sneakers. For the fourth iteration of the dad sneaker, Yeezy has taken a stripped-back approach in the form of the MNVN. A full nylon upper, complete with a large reflective “700” graphic on the side and familiar Boost sole, makes this subtle silhouette perfect for any sneakerhead.
Air Jordan 1 “Varsity Red”
It’s hard to make an already iconic sneaker better but somehow Jordan Brand has done just that. The familiar combination of black and red adorns this Air Jordan 1 “Varsity Red”, paying homage to the originally banned colourway of the sneaker. Limited to just 23,000 pairs, this is one sneaker that you need in your rotation.
adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 “Marsh”
Yeezy season is well and truly underway it seems, with the latest adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 “Marsh” kicking things off in style. A combination of earthy yellow hues and an orange sock liner on this Primeknit upper help make this neutral colourway one to remember. Additional details such as the reflective 3M stripe make the shoe stand out, with the classic semi-translucent midsole and Boost technology giving this shoe its comfort.
Nike Air Max 90 WMNS ‘Volt’
With the Air Max 90 turning 30 this year, Nike is releasing a string of eye-catching colourways to celebrate. This ‘Volt’ iteration is definitely one of the best to release so far. Taking all the classic details and materials of the original and adding bright green colour pops, this recrafted sneaker has been brought into the future whilst still having that retro feel.
Nike Air Max 90 WMNS ‘Hyper Grape’
Purple accents on any sneaker can be a bit bold but when they are found on an Air Max 90, there is no denying that it works. As one of the recrafted Air max 90s, this ‘Hyper Grape’ colourway seamlessly blends the classic Air Max shape with purple accents and familiar materials.
Nike Vapormax 360 ‘OG’
Nike has merged together two of the most innovative sneakers in the Air Max range on this shoe; the Air Max 360 and the Vapormax. By using the original colourway of the Air VaporMax 360 and placing it on top of the Vapormax sole, Nike has struck gold on this one.
Nike Air Max 97 Golf ‘Grass’
This might just be the greatest golf shoe of all time. Christian Tresser’s iconic Air Max 97 silhouette has been draped in artificial turf, making it blend in with the course seamlessly. A white midsole, complete with yellow Air Units, and turf-friendly sole make these ideal for any golfer. If you’re playing in these, we hope that your handicap is as good as your footwear.
Kangaroos ‘CNY’
As the Year of the Rat gets underway, Australian based footwear company Kangaroos has given its Coil-R1 sneaker a fitting update. A combination of red suedes, gold accents and luxurious make this shoe fit for a king.
