New Balance has really stepped things up a gear in 2020. Clever collaborations with the likes of Kith, as well as upcoming releases with JJJJound and Aimé Leon Dore, have helped NB become a major player in sneakers once again. After launching a Tokyo Design Studio R_C1300 late last April, it looks as though another is on the way for the end of May.
Keeping things simple, New Balance Tokyo Design Studio has applied a marble-effect across the upper. Contrasting tones of blue and white cover most of the shoe, with the premium suede and mesh panelling giving this shoe a luxurious look. The dark blue “N” motif on the side of the sneaker gives the shoe some branding, whilst the pale blue split midsole and black outsole cutting through the marble. Rounding things off is a grey tongue complete and a pale blue insole.
Dropping on May 23rd for around €200, these are going to be one pair of New Balance’s you don’t want to miss out on.
