Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen Supreme slowly ease its way back into the FW20. Following on from the successful collaboration with Pat McGrath, Supreme has set itself a difficult week to beat. However, that all looks to be changing this week. In terms of big partnerships, Supreme may have outdone itself once more. Kicking things off with a bang, Supreme has announced a collaboration with none other than Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto.
Supreme took to Instagram to reveal the collab with Yohji Yamamoto as well as the eye-catching pieces. As you can probably imagine, this is huge news in the fashion world. Arguably one of the most respected designers on the planet, Yamamoto has worked with everyone from adidas to Hermès, putting his spin on classic pieces. Arguably the biggest collaboration of the season so far, Supreme x Yohji Yamamoto is a perfect combination of both brands work.
In total, 40 Supreme x Yohji Yamamoto pieces are set to release. Covering everything from leather jackets to T-shirts and tailoring to beanies, the upcoming collaboration is set to be an instant sellout. The collection will also feature original artwork from Sancheeto, Peter Saville and Yuuka Asakura; applying distinctive graphics to this streetwear staples.
