Over the last seven years, Kanye West and adidas have taken the sneaker world by storm. Since first joining back in 2014, Kanye has certainly left his mark at adidas with the insane popularity of the Yeezy line. During that time, we’ve seen hundreds of sneakers release, with some crazy designs and, more often than not, sell-out success. What we have not seen, however, is a collaboration. Well, that all looks to be changing soon with the Kanye West x Derrick Rose Yeezy dropping sooner than you may think.
As a fellow member of Team adidas, Derrick Rose is the perfect partner for Kanye to work with as his first signature collaboration. Rose has been a member of the three stripes since 2012 and is a jewel in the companies basketball crown. Both West and Rose are from Chicago too, making this a real full circle member for two members of the same city to work on what is most likely going to be one of the most important sneakers in their careers.
Sneakerheads will remember the crazy Kanye West x Derrick Rose Yeezy design that was teased back in 2020. Although not much else is known about the shoe, there are positive signs that the sneaker will release at some point in 2021.
