With the COVID-19 pandemic truly cancelling the world’s plans this year, many brands have been brought to a halt. Last month, Nike cancelled the 7-ELEVEn SB Dunk collaboration which was set to drop at the Tokyo Olympics. The Swoosh also cancelled its product launches surrounding the Olympic Games. As the Olympics are now moved to next year, many brands have been thinking about what to do with their products. Thankfully, adidas is planning to launch its UltraBoost DNA Prime as planned.
Originally set to be a Tokyo Olympics exclusive, the adidas UltraBoost DNA Prime is a culmination of the UltraBoosts history. Featuring a fully Primeknit construction, the sneaker foregoes the usual plastic for something new. A knitted upper bears the classic Three Stripes and features “2020” woven into the tongue. Updates like a set of Primeknit laces and a stripped back cage unit have also been included. Of course, the signature Boost midsole and Continental outsole remains unchanged.
Dropping in two colourways, Black/White and Red/white, these UltraBoosts look great. Expected to launch in the coming weeks for €200, these updated Boosts are definitely one to look out for. Check out the images below and let us know if you’ll cop these UltraBoosts.
