Since joining forces in 2013, the Kanye West and adidas have been hard at work cooking up some of the hottest sneakers on the planet. 2020 is already set to be the biggest year in the relationship yet. After recently becoming a billionaire, Kanye has well and truly made his mark on the sneaker world. Thankfully, it doesn’t look like he’ll be stopping any time soon. We now have our first look at two new adidas Yeezy Boost 380s.
Dubbed the “Calcite Glow” and “Hylte Glow”, the new Yeezy 380s are certainly juxtaposing each other. Referencing its mineral muse, the “Calcite Glow” features a light grey and white Primeknit upper, with a contrasting dark grey stripe. A well-co-ordinated sock liner features the same colour, as does the outsole. Sitting atop a semi-translucent Boost sole unit, this Yeezy 380 is just as well equipped as previous iterations.
The “Hylte Glow” opts for a much bolder approach. A combination of volt yellow and dark green adorns much of the Primeknit upper. Accents in the form of yellow laces and a yellow sock liner contrast a volt green stripe across the middle. Unlike the “Calcite Glow”, the “Hylte Glow” Yeezy 380 uses a darker midsole unit. This is probably a wise decision, given how much colour adorns the upper.
Both Yeezys will use a glow in the dark Primeknit upper, giving these 380s an added edge. No news on a release date yet, but an estimated retail of €230 has been set. Check out the mockups below and let us know if you’ll cop these Yeezys.
