Jordan Brand has been bringing back a number of classic Jordan 5 colourways throughout 2020, including the OG “Fire Red.” With the silhouette celebrating its 30th birthday, it is easy to understand why. New editions including the “Top 3” have given fans a chance to cop 21st century takes on the iconic sneaker. Although it may be turning 30 this year, it looks as though the Air Jordan 5 party is continuing into next year.
According to early reports, we could be seeing “Anthracite” Air Jordan 5s in 2021. The slick-looking sneaker features a dark grey suede upper, replacing the traditional nubuck or leather. A black tongue, complete with a dark grey Jumpman, creates a nice balance in the upper. Black and silver detailing on the midsole add to the subtle nature of this Jordan 5. The icy midsole completes this shoe, with a black Air Unit finishing the whole thing off.
Although no official images or confirmation have yet been announced, the source this has come from is very reliable. With so many Jordan 5s dropping throughout 2020, it doesn’t look like the sneaker is going anywhere any time soon. Not that we’re complaining. An estimated retail price of €190 has been set, with no release date yet announced.
