After releasing during All-Star Weekend, the adidas Yeezy Quantum has since gone quiet. Kanye’s first foray into the world of athletic sportswear has already gone many sneakerheads talking, with the radical design making for an eye-catching sneaker. With adidas and Yeezy literally giving the sneaker away in Chicago, many have been waiting to get an actual release. Thankfully, the “Barium” iteration of the adidas Yeezy Quantum is almost here.
Since its debut, the “Barium” Yeezy Quantum has been hotly anticipated. Unlike the OG version, the “Barium” opts for a much more neutral approach in its aesthetic. The unique Dark Green Marl Primeknit upper sits beneath a slightly darker green cage giving this shoe a camouflage effect. A dark grey suede toe cap is contrasted by the black ankle and tongue; whilst the translucent tooling brings the basketball Yeezy together nicely.
Whilst it may be a divisive silhouette, there is no denying the impact that the adidas Yeezy Quantum will have on the sneaker world. Having turned a billionaire this year, it looks as though Kanye is looking to increase his footwear empire with athletic wear.
