Over the past 10 years, Virgil Abloh has experienced a meteoric rise in the fashion industry. From founding Pyrex Vision to becoming the Louis Vuitton Creative Director for Menswear, Abloh is well and truly thriving. Back in 2019, Abloh launched his “Figures of Speech” exhibition which catalogued his career. A number of items caught the attention of the streetwear community, including numerous Off-White™ x Nike samples. However, it was a sample Supreme box logo that really stole the show, one of which is now up for sale.
Although details about the Virgil Abloh x Supreme box logo sample are scarce, there is some background knowledge behind the T-shirt itself. An image with Chief Keef wearing the T-shirt was debuted at the exhibition. The Pan-African Flag box design represents the African Diaspora and symbolises black freedom. What makes the image of Chief Keef so powerful is that it highlights how the sons of African immigrants have risen to the very top: Chief Keef as a rapper and Virgil Abloh as the Creative Director of Louis Vuitton.
This is certainly one of the rarest Supreme box logos in existence. Production numbers are unknown but you can expect the total to be very low. If you do have the cash to splash, you can pick this up online for a cool €10,000. If like the rest of us you don’t have that to spare, you’ll just have to stare in awe at this Supreme sample box logo. Check out the images below and let us know if you’d cop this Virgil Abloh Supreme box logo.
