When it comes to collectables, Medicom Toy knows how to do it best. The Japanese manufacturer has been creating highly sought after pieces for over 20 years. It’s collaborations with the likes of Chanel and Daniel Arsham have certainly made it famous. Ever since Medicom Toy and Nike SB hooked up in 2004, the limited edition Dunks have always been a talking point. Over the past 16 years, just five Medicom Toy x Nike SB Dunk Lows have released. Thankfully, there looks to be a sixth coming later this year.
Whilst details are still scarce, we have a closer look at the 2020 Medicom Toy x Nike SB Dunk Low. Featuring a black faux pony hair construction on the upper, the shoe is an elegant take on the chunky skate silhouette. A contrasting cream heel tab comes in faux pony hair too and breaks all the noir detailing up. Thick black rope laces come as standard, with a white midsole and grey sole creating a nice division. However, it is the subtle branding that has got most sneakerheads excited.
On the heel, the BE@RBRICK logo can be seen placed just below the black pony hair Swoosh. Gold lace tips and a touch of class, whilst the co-branded insole lets you know just who this collaboration is by. Featuring the outline of BE@RBRICK models, the insole is arguably the most desired part on this upcoming Nike SB Dunk Low.
The good news is that the Medicom Toy x Nike SB Dunk Low “BE@RBRICK” is set to release in August. Keep an eye on the KLEKT Blog as we update you once more information becomes available. For now, just sit tight and check out the images below.
