Since 2020 began, we have seen New Balance quietly take over the sneaker world. It’s collaborations list this year alone boasts the likes of JJJJound, Kith and Joe Freshgoods. However, it is New Balance’s Tokyo Design Studio that has been arguably the most exciting. Located in Japan’s capital, the New Balance Tokyo Design Studio has consistently delivered a whole host of heat. One of those models is the RC_1300. Fortunately for us, more colourways are on the horizon.
Dropping in two simple colourways, the New Balance Tokyo Design Studio has draped the RC_1300 in two summer-ready iterations. First up we have the “Mallard Blue,” a simple combination of blue suede and mesh adorns this RC_1300. A contrasting grey tongue and matching laces work with a slightly off-white “N” motif.
The “”Summer Fog” version opts for something a little different. A soft grey mesh upper is paired with contrasting cream suede overlays. The same soft grey has been used on the tongue and heel tab, whilst white laces add a little something extra. In keeping with the oversized brandy, a large navy “N” emblem creates a new element to this well-balanced sneaker. Both sneakers will feature the usual ENCAP midsole which is split towards the back, as well as a black sole.
If you’re looking to get these, you don’t have long to wait but there is some bad news. As for now, this is rumoured to be a Japanese exclusive. We will just have to wait and see whether these drop in the EU. Check out the images below and let us know if you’re feeling these New Balance RC_1300s.
