In 2018, Union created arguably one of the best Air Jordan 1 collaborations that the sneaker community has ever seen. The cut-and-sew approach to the Jordan 1 was a fan favourite, quickly becoming one of the year’s best drops. Since then, sneakerheads have been patiently waiting to see what else is to come from Union x Jordan. After teasing a new collaboration back in February, things have been fairly quiet. Now, we have our first detailed look at the upcoming Union LA x Air Jordan 4.
On this Union Jordan 4, the majority of the upper features black mesh and nubuck. A splash of blue on the ankle and red and white eyelets help to break up the neutral base. Translucent ankle straps have also been used on this AJ4, with white mesh and matching stitching bringing depth to this sneaker. In keeping with the old school style on this sneaker, “Nike Air” can be seen on the back. A dark cream midsole comes complete with a red air bubble, bringing this collab to a close.
The second instalment in the Union x Air Jordan line is already causing quite a divide in the sneaker world. So far, two colourways have been revealed, whilst the “Off Noir” is the only one that we have seen. Taking a very different approach to its Air Jordan 1 collaboration, Union has gone for a vintage style shape on this particular Jordan 4. Many believe that this is perhaps referencing the original sketch that Tinker Hatfield drew of the Air Jordan 4, which would explain quite a lot.
As for now, there is a release date set for August 15th with a retail price of €250. Whilst they may not be for everyone, the Union 4s will definitely be a sellout. Check out the images below and let us know if you’ll cop these Union Jordans.
